About Us

Jeff Waller is the Principal and founder of Waller and Associates. Jeff has been in the material handling industry for more than 35 years, and on a day to day basis, Jeff manages a team of senior consultants, industrial and mechanical engineers, and data analytics professionals.

Jeff’s career has been spent in managing transportation and distribution operations with companies like Pier 1 Imports, Walmart, International Paper and others. Jeff lead a team of Supply Chain Risk Services which later encouraged him to start Waller and Associates.

Starting Waller and Associates back in 2009, Jeff says “I’ve enjoyed building a small business with my excellent team over the past 15 years. We have built a very good reputation in the industry and have a great client base. Now, as a part of the Waller family, I’m excited to grow the business and serve our clients with a larger portfolio of solutions.”

Jeff holds both a Masters of Business Administration and Bachelors of Business Administration from Texas A&M University. In his spare time, Jeff is a partner on a BBQ team and loves to smoke meat for charity events. Additionally, Jeff dresses as Santa each December and goes to different charities and rescue centers to spread the holiday cheer. Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife fishing, hiking, and traveling.

Dan Denton, Managing Director at Waller and Associates, brings an ample amount experience in the supply chain and logistics industry.

Dan leverages over 35 years of logistical experience to address each client’s unique needs. His background includes successfully launching e-commerce startups, managing floor-level operations, and overseeing global key account relationships. Drawing on these experiences, along with continuous research and strong industry connections, Dan is dedicated to enhancing and optimizing client operations.

When asked why he stays at Waller and Associates, Dan says, “After 7+ years offering supply chain and logistics consulting, I continue to be challenged and motivated to provide our clients with the very best support, offering my education and many years of experiences to help them improve their operations. I am always looking forward to the next business challenge we can improve together.”

Dan holds a Master of Business Administration from Dallas Baptist University, as well as a DHL LEAN Certification. Dan has led many successful supply chain assessments, managed the deconstruction, move, and reconstruction of 125,000-square-foot hospital, led general managers in operating remote supply chain facilities, and numerous other successes.

In Dan’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, cheering on the Cubs, playing the trumpet, and watching hockey.

Al Richey is a Managing Director here at Waller and Associates. With over 30 years of supply chain experience, Al’s day to day consists of navigating each client’s unique needs and leveraging his years of expertise.

Uniquely enough, Al is a former customer of Waller and Associates. He worked with Jeff and Dan on a complex project on a warehouse and fulfillment center. Long story short, the three “clicked” from the start, and when he later left that organization Jeff reached out to see if he would join their team.

When asked what makes him stay with Waller and Associates, Al said, “The thing that makes me stay is that we are having fun while solving problems for our customers. We’re in a good place, and we are doing good things. We have a purpose in what we do.”

Al holds a Bachelor of Science from High Point University, as well as a Master of Science in Accountancy from Central Michigan University. Additionally, he has many leadership and supply chain certificates. Al enjoys spending his spare time with his wife of nearly 40 years and his family.

Mike Prince is the Project Director of Consulting Services at Waller and Associates. He has been in the material handling industry for over 35 years.

On a day to day basis, Mike leads assessments and warehouse design projects, and works directly with clients to define their needs to satisfy all project deliverables. He also has extensive expertise in Distribution Network Design.

Mike’s career started in manufacturing for roughly 10 years. He then joined a company as a supply chain consultant, leading their network design practice and spending a year leading their UK operations. He has held positions in network design, PMO, and project management. In 2021, Mike joined Waller as a Project Director in Consulting and in June 2024 transitioned into Waller and Associates in the same role.

Mike holds a degree in industrial engineering and operations research from the University of Massachusetts. Mike says, “My greatest professional achievements were seeing the Patriot Missile System get deployed to Iraq. I worked at Raytheon and was a lead manufacturing engineer on the Displays and Controls for that system.”

Outside of work, Mike enjoys time with his family, two dogs, and outdoor activities like road cycling and golf.
